Your hosts

Dawn is my name and I will be your host, I grew up in Shannon, Co Clare. I studied Tourism Management in Dublin, then travelled. I met Ryan in Australia and soon after moved to Dublin. I worked in a Destination Management Company where I would bid to encourage foreign organisations to let us host their conference and exhibitions in Ireland. Ryan who grew up in Co Antrim studied to be a chef. He worked in many top kitchens as sous chef before he spent many years as Head Chef. We married in 2011, had our baby girl Rosalie in 2013 and decided to leave the city life and combine our skills, experience and passion leading us to buy Balally House in 2015. We welcomed our baby boy Phoenix in October of that year. Ryan works as a firefighter. We have been working hard since welcoming guests to our home. We look forward to meeting you.

Want help planning your trip?

Before my move to Balally House I worked in Dublin selling Ireland as a destination to overseas companies and organisations to encourage them to choose Ireland to host their big conferences or exhibitions. I loved to plan their touring and entertainment schedule once they came onboard as I was always passionate about what Ireland has to offer and of course I was bias towards Co Clare as I grew up here. Now I get to share this experience and knowledge everyday with my guests. I just love getting out my map and talking through not only the highlights of the area but the hidden gems. I am more than happy to help plan your trip so please just ask.
