If you want to simply stretch your legs and soak up lots of Irish history in a short walk then this is the walk for you. I recommend you bring your walking boots. It is 20 km from Balally House. It is located at the gateway to the Burren Region, 5kms south of Corofin, and 11kms north of Ennis.
If approaching from Ennis (N85) take a right for Corofin (R476). After 6km take a left at the cross roads. As you travel down this road, follow the sign posts to take a right to bring you to the centre.
There are two walking trails around various monuments:
1. A Short Walk (300m)
This takes in the 12th century illuminated high cross;
